The former Jaquet restaurant reopens as Jaket, a new gastronomic project led by Chef Júlio Pereira and the KAMPO group in Funchal’s Zona Velha. Maintaining the welcoming essence of a traditional Madeiran tavern, Jaket offers a menu faithful to regional cuisine, with dishes, snacks, and “dentinhos” prepared with fresh, local ingredients, such as Carne em Vinha d’Alhos, Espada with Banana, and Lime or Pineapple Rice baked with Madeira wine. The experience is complemented by typical drinks like Poncha, Laranjada, local wines, and the traditional Bebida de Arraial. The concept aims to continue the historical tradition of the space, providing an authentic taste of the island’s flavors.
