28 years ago, Jaket marked my first encounter with Madeira, a must-visit in the Madeiran gastronomic scene at the time. A place where cuisine was an expression of culture and identity, experienced at the table with Maria José and Luís, among stories and flavours that this couple, the former owners, left imprinted on these walls.
